Tuned Microbial Oils

LipiTune’s core innovation lies in its ability to precisely tune the fatty acid composition of oils produced through fermentation, using a single fungi rather than a different strain for every oil type. This gives the process two key advantages over conventional plant-based oils: reproducibility and flexibility. While natural oils vary in fatty acid composition by up to 15% batch-to-batch, LipiTune’s tuned oils stay within 2% variation, enabling consistent, traceable quality regardless of feedstock or region. At the same time, the same organism can be tuned to replace established “drop-in” oils or to create entirely novel, on-demand oils with properties not found in nature, tuned to specific applications.
